Mahamasthakabhisheka

The Mahamasthakabhisheka which is aimed at achieving the welfare of the mankind and preserving the religious attitude of the human being was held gloriously during the year 2000. The second masthakabhisheka of this century will be held from 28th January 2012 to 5th February 2012 under the auspicious blessings of Acharya Sri Vidyananda Munimaharaj. 

Karmayogi Swasthishri Charukeerthi Pattacharyavarya Mahaswamiji of Shravanabelagola Jain Mutt will guide this great event. This Masthakabhisheka will be held under the gracious presence and guidance of Bharathabhushana Swasthishree Charukeerthi Pandithacharyavarya Swamiji of Moodbidri Jain Mutt.

Padmabhushana Dr. D. Veerendra Heggade of Dharmasthala, a pioneer in social, religious and educational field and the president of Shri Digambara Thirthakshetra Samithi of Venur has adorned the presidentship of the Mahamasthakabhisheka committee.

Shri V Dhananjaya Kumar, the Delhi representative of Karnataka government who was responsible for overall development of Venur, is the executive president of the Mahamasthakabhisheka committee.

This Mahamasthakabhisheka committee, which includes eminent personalities of Jain community has been making strenuous efforts in preliminary activities.

The entire Mahamasthakabhisheka programme will be held for nine days from 28th January 2012 to 5th February 2012 which would attract about 3 lakhs of people from all over India. Apart from traditional religious rituals eminent artists will participate in various cultural programmes and also a state level exhibition will be organised to impart information and entertainment to the gathering.
